This island lies in the largest lagoon off Mauritius and can be reached by water taxi from Trou D'Eau Douce. It is home to beach restaurants, an adventure park, an 18 hole golf course as well as tons of starfish! A small dirt path leads to a quiet beach on the opposite side of the harbor where you will find hundreds of starfish along the shore.
Located a half an hour drive North from the capital city of Port Louis. Tou Aux Biches is best known for swimming and snorkeling. With shallow, clear water this is an ideal place for a beach picnic. You can find boutique establishments, tourist resorts and hotels along with many restaurants and bars. This area of the island is one of the top places to visit.
Visiting the Chamarel coloured earth is a must do when visiting Mauritius. This geological formation is comprised of sand dunes with seven different colors. The dunes never erode and if you mix the sand together, they will eventually separate. While in the area you can also visit Rhumerie De Chamarel rum distillery and the Chamarel waterfalls.
