Known for it's sun, sand and sea but most importantly it is known as the spice island.
Grenada is a group of three islands (Grenada, Carriacou, Petite Martinique) in the West Indies Caribbean. It is known as the "Spice Isle" because it is a major source of nutmeg, cloves, ginger, cinnamon, vanilla and cocoa. Grenada has a tropical, hot and humid climate with an average year round temp of 80 degrees.
This naional park occupies a large portion of central Grenada. The park has numerous exotic wildlife such as mona moneys, tropical mockingbirds and much more which you are show to see on a visit. The park also offers great hikes to waterfalls as well as Mount Qua Qua which offers stunning views of the park and the beautiful Grand Etang Lake.
St. George's is the capital of Grenada and a lively seaside town. From here you can enjoy the beautiful Grand Anse beach, tour the marina known as the Carenage with lots of restaurants and shops, take a sunset sail, explore the underwater sculpture park and visit the museums and forts that show the history of this island.
The northernmost parish of Grenada is St Patrick. This end of the island is much more rural than the southern part. The main town is Sauteurs. There are beautiful almost deserted beaches here as well as chocolate plantations, sulphur springs and rum distilleries. This is where you go to get away from it all and experience the true Grenada!
